Privacy policy

Your family’s care information deserves thoughtful protection.

This page explains the information DoseCheckin uses to provide medicine reminders and caregiver tracking. Last updated September 27, 2026.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the DoseCheckin website, caregiver accounts, parent profiles, companion check-in pages, reminders, alerts, AI-assisted medicine entry, and downloadable reports. By using DoseCheckin, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Information we collect

We process caregiver account details, parent profile details entered by caregivers, medicine schedules, reminder preferences, caregiver invitations, dose confirmations, and alert history.

Information provided directly

This may include a caregiver’s name and email address; a parent’s name, timezone, and care preferences; medicine names, doses, instructions, and schedules; caregiver invitations; and any instructions or label images voluntarily submitted for AI-assisted entry.

Information created through use

DoseCheckin records scheduled dose times, check-in status, reminder activity, alert history, and basic account activity needed to keep the service secure and reliable. We may also receive limited technical information such as browser type, device type, and error information.

How information is used

Information is used to operate caregiver accounts, display medicine schedules, provide parent check-ins, generate reminders and reports, maintain security, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.

Who can access information

Caregiver information is limited to authenticated users with access to the relevant parent profile. Parents use a unique companion link to view and update the limited check-in information intended for them.

AI-assisted medicine entry

When a caregiver chooses AI-assisted entry, submitted label images or instructions are processed to create an editable draft. Caregivers must review and save the result. These uploads are not used as a substitute for professional advice.

Service providers

DoseCheckin may use carefully selected providers for secure hosting, authentication, AI processing, and essential service operations. They receive only the information needed to perform those services and are expected to protect it appropriately.

Security

We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect care information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Caregivers should use strong passwords, protect their devices, and share companion links only with the intended parent or trusted family members.

Reports and retention

Weekly reports are created on the caregiver’s device and are not persisted by DoseCheckin. Other account and care information remains available while the account is active or as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

Caregivers can update profiles, schedules, and reminder preferences in the app. Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some information may be retained when required for security or legal reasons.

Children’s privacy

DoseCheckin is intended for adult caregivers and is not designed for children to create or manage accounts independently. Please do not submit information about a child unless you are authorized to do so and the use is appropriate for the family’s care needs.

Policy updates

We may revise this policy as DoseCheckin develops or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies.
